SOFTBALL PICKS UP SIX MORE WINS

The Eagles softball team picked up six more wins this weekend. On Friday the women swept #20 Blackhawk 8-0 and 9-0. Kylee Knop and Amanda Lambrecht picked up the wins. Chelsea Parrish and Jamie Davis each homered.

On Saturday the ladies played at Ellsworth and picked up two more convincing wins. Knop picked up the win in the first game and had plenty of run support. With homeruns by Davis, Lisa Thobe, Carlie Schnoebelen and Molly Link, the Eagles won 21-1. In the second game, an 8-1 win, Lambrecht tallied the win with another homer by Schnoebelen.

Kirkwood finished the weekend strong by sweeping #6 Iowa Central. Jami Miller hit a two-run bomb that was the difference as Knop grabbed her third win in three days with the 2-1 win. Shelby Dougherty won the final game of the weekend, in an eight-inning, 3-2 win. The women now stand at 39-9 and are ranked #8.
