LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Kirkwood men's golf team captured its third tournament this fall by capturing top honors at the Ronnie Eastman Invitational at the La Crosse Country Club Tuesday.
The Eagles finished with a 36-hole total of 594 for a 24-shot margin over Viterbo University.
Niall Powell of Kirkwood placed fifth in the tournament and led the Eagles with two-day scores of 75 and 73 for 148.
Michael Schmitz of Winona State won the individual title with rounds of 70 and 67 for 137.
Kirkwood has also won the Mount Mercy Fall Shootout and the Wartburg Invitational this season.
