#4 Eagles Soar Over Trojans

Cedar Rapids, IA- Kirkwood's win this past Saturday had the Eagles post four players in double figures. They were led in points by Tate Petersen with 13, Traijan Sain with 12 points, James Spencer with a double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds), and Richard Lindsey Jr. with 11 points off the bench. However, every athlete that clocked minutes in the game managed to score for Kirkwood, making this win over the Trojans an overall team effort. 

Kirkwood showed serious efficiency in the win, connecting on 50% of their shots from the field goal range and 47.8% from the three-point range. The Eagles cashed in on 11 of 23 shots from deep. 

The Eagles were all over the boards, grabbing 47 rebounds in the contest, 11 of which were offensive rebounds. Their opponents finished with 26 for the games, meaning the Eagles won the rebound margin by 21; a huge reason why they were able to pull off this win. They were led in rebounding by Spencer with 10 rebounds, Tyler Netolicky grabbed 9 rebound off the bench,  and Sain finished with 7.

The Eagles will be on the road to face the Western Iowa Tech Comets @ 3:00 PM this Saturday.
