Kirkwood Golf Honored With Post Season Awards
Cedar Rapids, IA- The national runner-up Kirkwood Eagles had a multitude of post-season awards bestowed upon them. Three golfers from the team, Grant Greazel, Nathan Offerman, and Nathan Bratanata were each honored with multiple awards to commemorate their body of work and end of the year performances.
All-America honors are presented to the top 26 finishers (plus ties) at the NJCAA DII Men's Golf Championship. Kirkwood as a team finished at +21 for the National Tournament which put them firmly in 2nd place over all. This score wouldn't have been possible without these three young men. Nate Offerman would go 79, 72, 71, 76 in the tournament finishing at 298 (+10) which was good for third best for the Eagles. Nathan Bratanata would go 73, 74, 74, and 69 to finish at 290 (+2). His last round of 69 was tied for the best round for the Eagles. Grant Greazel would shoot 71, 69, 74, 71 for a tournament-best 285 (-3). His consistency allowed him to claim the 2024 NJCAA DII Men's Golf Individual Champion title. This is Kirkwood's second individual national champion.

Along with NJCAA All-American honors, all three would also be named to PING All-Region and All-American teams as well. Grant Greazel and Nate Offerman would deservingly be named to the PING West All-Region team. Greazel would also be named to the PING 1st Team All-American Team. This comes after 4 tournament wins, 5 top-3 finishes, shooting 10 of 29 rounds under par, and finishing the year with a total average of 72.2. Both Nathan Offerman and Nathan Bratanata were named as PING Honorable Mention All-Americans. Offerman would have a total average of 75.4 on the year, after having one of his best finishes at the North Central District Championship where he finished 1 under par and 2nd of of 68 golfers. Bratanata would finish the year with a 75.9 average and would come up big when the lights were the brightest. He finished in 2nd place this year at nationals coming off of his team-best 7th place finish in 2023 where he finished tied for 7th.
