Top-Seeded Eagles Set to Host Region 11-A Tournament in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA- The path to the postseason now runs through Cedar Rapids.

After a dominant run to secure the ICCAC Regular Season Championship, the #1 Kirkwood Eagles Softball team has earned the right to host the Region 11-A Tournament.

The Eagles begin their postseason journey in Game 1, taking on #8 Ellsworth at 2:00 PM.

• Game 1 – 2:00 PM: #1 Kirkwood vs. #8 Ellsworth
• Game 2 – 4:00 PM: #4 NIACC vs. #5 Iowa Lakes

Saturday, May 2

• Game 3 – 12:00 PM: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2
• Game 4 – 2:00 PM: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2
• Game 5 – 4:00 PM: Winner Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4

Sunday, May 3

• Game 6 (Championship) – 12:00 PM: Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5
• Game 7 – If Necessary

The higher-seeded champion will secure an automatic bid to the NJCAA World Series, while the lower-seeded champion will advance to the North Central District Championship against Region 13.
