Kirkwood Basketball Teams Head to National Tournaments
Danville, IL & Joplin, MO- The Kirkwood Men's and Women's Basketball Teams are headed off to their respective NJCAA DII National Tournaments. The men are the automatic qualifier from Region 11 after winning the Region 11 Tournament over Iowa Central. Their national tournament will be held in Danville, IL at Danville Area Community College. They earned the #3 seed overall and will play the winner of Kansas City Kansas and Raritan Valley on Tuesday March 18th at 3PM. The women qualified after the North Central- B District Championship. Their national tournament will be held at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin, MO. They are the #1 seed overall and will play the winner of SUNY Niagara and Rock Valley on Tuesday March 18th at 11AM.
