Kirkwood Golf Takes 4th at Columbia Invitational

Columbia, MO- The Kirkwood Community College golf team, ranked 7th in the NJCAA, traveled to Missouri to compete in the Columbia Invitational, where they secured a 4th-place team finish despite challenging weather conditions.

Competing for the Eagles were Tate Brunk, Nathan Offerman, Aaron Estell, Reid Hall, and Quinn Tinkler, with Leo Burger participating as an individual.

In the first round, Aaron Estell led the team with a solid 71, while Quinn Tinkler, Reid Hall, and Nathan Offerman finished 5, 6, and 7 over par, respectively. Leo Burger posted an impressive 1-over round, highlighted by an eagle on hole 15.

Burger remained steady in the second round, finishing 2 over to conclude the tournament at 3 over par, earning him a 6th-place individual finish. Tinkler made a strong push, jumping eight spots on the leaderboard with an even-par round, securing an 8th-place finish.

As a team, the Eagles held their ground, finishing in 4th place overall. Up next, Kirkwood will compete in the Verhille Invitational at Old Kinderhook Golf Course in the Ozarks, looking to build on their performance.
