Kirkwood Golf Finishes Third at Southwestern Premier; Brunk Claims Individual Title

Panora, IA- Kirkwood Community College golf delivered a strong performance at the Southwestern Premier Tournament, held at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora, Iowa, finishing third in a ten-team field.

The Eagles posted team rounds of 304 and 299 for a total score of 603, just six strokes behind the winning team from Northeast CC (597). Southwestern CC (IA) finished second at 602.

Kirkwood was led by Tate Brunk, who competed as an individual and captured the tournament title. Brunk shot a 73 in the opening round followed by a 68 in round two, finishing at 141 (-3) and four strokes clear of the field.

Nathan Offerman paced the Kirkwood team scoring with rounds of 74 and 71 for a 145 total (+1), earning him third place individually. Quinn Tinkler tied for fifth at 147 (+3) with rounds of 74 and 73. Reid Hall added scores of 79 and 78 for a total of 157 (+13), placing him in a tie for 27th. Leo Burger contributed a 77-77 (+10), while Tanner Wachtl shot 82-78 (+16).

Also competing individually were Jacob Ngo (85-80) and Brunk, who ultimately led all scorers.

Up next for Kirkwood Golf is the North Central District Tournament from May 4–6 at Whispering Creek Golf Club in Sioux City, Iowa.
