#2 Eagles Dominate Grand View JV in 93–57 Victory at the Kirkwood Classic

Cedar Rapids, IA- The #2 Kirkwood Women's Basketball team delivered a commanding performance in their home opener Friday night, rolling past Grand View JV 93–57 inside Johnson Hall. Behind a suffocating defense, relentless rebounding, and balanced scoring across the roster, the Eagles set the tone early and never looked back.

Kirkwood showcased its depth from the opening tip, finishing with 11 players in the scoring column and controlling the glass with 65 total rebounds. Sophomore forward Aaliyah Riley led the charge with an efficient 18 points and 6 rebounds, igniting the offense during a dominant second quarter where the Eagles outscored the Vikings 28–5.

Freshman post Madison Stowater provided a huge lift off the bench, recording 13 points and 10 rebounds for an impressive double-double. Freshman forward Kaci Crum added 15 points and 7 rebounds, while sophomore guard Kennedy Blakely chipped in 11 points, including two made threes that stretched the Grand View defense.

Kirkwood's ball movement shined throughout the night as the Eagles tallied 22 assists—highlighted by Bra'Ja Torry's 7 assists in just 14 minutes. On the defensive end, the Eagles forced 20 turnovers and held Grand View to just 31.5% shooting, dominating the paint with 68 points and securing a 19–2 margin in second-chance scoring.

The Eagles were slated to face Bryant & Stratton on Saturday afternoon, but the Bobcats forfeited.
