#2 Kirkwood Rallies Late Behind Wren's Clutch Three, Beats Iowa Central in OT
FORT DODGE, Iowa — The #2 Kirkwood Eagles showed their toughness once again, battling back for a 65–59 overtime win over Iowa Central on Wednesday night.
Kirkwood trailed for most of the first half and went into the break down 26–18. A strong third quarter put the Eagles back in the game, but Iowa Central answered, pushing the lead to 48–40 with 3:44 left.
The Eagles refused to go away. With the game on the line, Olivia Wren drilled a clutch three with 7 seconds left to tie it at 56 and force overtime. Kirkwood controlled the extra period from start to finish.
Wren led the night with 18 points. Bra'Ja Torry added 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Molly Roling provided 10 points off the bench, while Kennedy Blakely finished with 8.
